Dr. Chen is the CEO of Lotus International Group and chairman of Vancouver ECE & Montessori College. He used his experience in his life to explain why there is no rehearsal in life.

Dr. Chen was born in Sang Yi in Taiwan. When he graduated from high school, his parents asked him to apply for Taiwan Educational University due to their financial situation. However, he did not wish to become a teacher. As a result, he joined Taiwan Electrical Company for several years. After he retired from the military training, he worked in electrical company in the morning and studied architecture in night school. During this time, he was also a CEO of an import/export company. The company started with wooden product. One day, they received a massive order of wooden chopsticks. However, there is no company to sub-lease to. Therefore, he had to set up a factory with second hand equipment to be able to take the order. Because of this order, he had to quit his job in electrical company. At the time, a job in electrical company guaranteed a stable income. When he quit, his father was very upset and did not even want to see him when he traveled up to Taipei. As the company grows, he had over 100 employees and he felt that he did not have the knowledge to manage such company. So he went to the US to study Master of Public Administration with his wife.

When he was 30, he went to a fortune teller. The fortune teller told him that if you don't make 10 million in 2 years, you can come back and find me. As the fortune teller predicted, he set up a construction company and made over 15 millions in 2 years. Over the next 10 years, he managed to grow his construction company to worth about 5 billions. However, he also had a loan of 2 billions. Then, something happened. The two high rises that he built were not sold in time to meet the interest payment. When he flied to Vancouver to meet with family, the Bank thought that he was fleeing to aboard with all his money. His high rises were taken by the bank and the company reputation plumaged and had to declare bankrupsy.
