As a charitable organzation committed to making the road safer for the community, the Foundation calls for help.

Every week in B.C. an average of 2 people died because of impaired driving and 8 people died as a result of traffic accident. Yet there are 33% few traffic enforcement officers compared to 10 years ago. Allan Lamb, Executive Director of the BCAA Traffic Safety Foundation is committed to making the road safer for the community.

The Foundation's program starts with educating young drivers and their parents. Role modelling by parents has been proven to have paramount effect on the driving behaviour of their children. The child safty seats program has helped save many young lives. Christmas seasons no longer record the most traffic accidents of the year, thanks to the work of the Foundation on designated drivers.
