Vancouver Centennial participated in the celebration of both BC Day & Taiwan Day on Aug. 7, 2006 at Vancouver's Bobolink Park.

RCVC rented 2 booths to sell different chinese pastries and food for this event. Members started to arrive promptly at 7am to set up the tents, post price lists and prepare our mini kitchen in time for the 10am opening. Our best seller for the day was the Chinese-style chicken nuggets. Kudos to Mrs. Hsu, wife of our club President, Wells Hsu, for preparing the chicken nuggets; 30 lbs of chicken was sold in 1.5 hours! In addition, we would like to thank our fellow Rotarian, Jeffery and his mom for preparing the rest of our food as all of them was sold by 3pm. This event was indeed a great success as we raised more than $500 in our first event of the year. More importantly, it was our Rotarian spirit and team work that contributed to this success. Thank you everyone for your support!
