This week we welcomed Robert and Matthew from Vancouver Quadra Club to visit our club.
 
They invited us to join their cowboys & cowgirls night out event on Oct 21, 2006. Remember to wear your cowboy hat & boots.

Our first community serice is coming up. RCVC is planning to organize a free Chinese Medicine clinical service event which will take place in December 10, 2006.
Our first world service project for the year of 2006 -2007 is Delivering Knowledge to the Unreachable Land.
This service is to collect new and used English extracurricular books for children living in the rural parts of Taiwan to increase their English literacy level.
All interested Rotary clubs and local elementary schools together with public libraries within the greater Vancouver area are welcome to participate.
These extracurricular books should be in good condition and suitable for kids up to 18 years old. Once the books are collected, they will be scheduled for delivery to Taiwan in 2007.
Our initial timeline and information are as follows:
Period set to collect : August 2006 till May 2007
Period set to ship: January 2007 and June 2007
Targeted # of books: 10,000
