The most common misnomer associated with hotel quality is the number of stars assigned to a hotel. Does a six star hotel provide better services than a five star hotel? The answer is not necessarily. There are no universally accepted standards for the number of stars as they are related to hotel services. What hotel customers would look for and what hotels could provide in return will best determine the quality of a hotel. The five "C's" - comfort, convenience, choices, communication and confidence, and the five "A's" - access, atmosphere, attitude, amusements, and attractions, would be something that you might want to consider next time when you have to find a hotel you really enjoy.
