Past District 5040 Public Relations Chair Graham Witcher visited Vancouver Centennial this Tuesday to share his two years Rotarian experience in Taipei, Taiwan.

With his early retirement in 2000, Graham Witcher was offered a two year term as an English Chaplain at the Church of the Good Shepherd, an Episcopal/Anglican Church, in Taipei. Though he was new to Taipei, trying his best to adapt to the different culture and language, Graham continued his Rotarian duties and joined a local Rotary Club. He was involved in many projects notably the computer project for the aboriginals and he also helped launch two Rotary Clubs in China, Beijing and Shanghai. Graham Witcher summed up his experience in Taipei with the following "Language might divide us but Rotary joins us together".

The weekly club meeting ended with a short ceremony conducted by President Harrison Lin to officially induct new Rotary Club member James Wu. He is the grandfather of fellow Rotarian Alice Wu.
