Dr.Bill Jackson

Dr.Bill Jackson visited our club and gave a special presentation about his optical program and their trip to distribute glasses in Cambodia in 2004.

In the optical program, they first have to categorize the glasses that were donated by people. Then they chose secluded towns that had no access to optical care in a third world country.

They visited Cambodia for 2 weeks and served many people who had poor vision. The program takes a long time to organize. They need volunteer to collect the glasses and also for the trips.

Currently, they have enough people registered for the next trip. However, they still welcome everyone to donate unused glasses. He will give a box to Vancouver Centennial Rotary Club. Hopefully, we can return it with our warm heaat.
