Councillor B.C. Lee visited our club last night to share with fellow Rotarians his 6 months experience as a councillor of the City of Vancouver.

B.C. Lee was born in Macao and raised in Taiwan. Mr. Lee traveled to New York for advanced studies at New York University before settling in Vancouver in 1992. He holds two masters' degrees in Political Science and Public Administration.

As a councillor, a typical work day for him is filled with numerous meetings. In addition, councillors meet twice bi-weekly to debate on a list of topics lasting the whole day.

Although the work hours are long, Councillor B.C. Lee finds his job very rewarding, thanks to the friendly Vancouverites. He also has great passion for public service and encourages fellow Rotarians to join politics. Lastly, he promised that he will work even harder to serve the general public.
