Started off with a Rotarian wedding, followed by community services on the Earth Day, and went into a meeting honoured by our Speaker Dr. Pang Chang.

Keiko Kawano and Peter Weng's wedding at the Fish House in Stanley Park on April 22, 2007 was attended by relatives and friends, many of them came from different parts of the world, specifically for this happy occassion. The weather seemed to rejoice over the union of a blessed couple. Morning drizzle turned into bright sunny sky when the newly weds were ready for a horse ride.

After the wedding, twenty Rotarians and family members participated in a beach clean-up at the Jericho Beach. This was the second major community service done by the Club this year. A few months earlier the Club shipped over a thousand books to Taiwan to help the illiterate and children.

Dr. Pang Chang's presentation on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 gave an alarming insight into the causes and impacts of the demographic shift towards older average ages in developed countries. If the trend continues, in twenty years, there would be 1 in 4 aged over 65 for the OECD population.
