2020 Salvation Army Belkin house homeless shelter

On October 10th, 2020, the Vancouver Interact Club visited The Salvation Army Belkin house homeless shelter in order to donate masks. Organized by the club leaders in conjunction with their sponsoring Rotary chapter, 13 Interact members donated 800 masks to the shelter in order to provide safety to those living in need within the building. Non-profit organizations, such as The Salvation Army, have been providing care for those without the security of a safe home even during these difficult times. Resources are limited, and the club wanted to extend a helping hand and assist those in need with some extra health supplies in order to keep them safe during the pandemic. This was an activity that represented the core values of the Interact Club, and was a meaningful social service project that hopefully makes a positive impact upon the community.
