The Rotary Club of Vancouver Centennial successfully hosted its annual charity concert, Parade of Music 2025, on November 16 at Fraserview Church. The sanctuary was filled with warm and dignified ambiance created by music and lighting. Provincial and municipal officials, community members, Rotarians, Interact youth, partners, and supporters gathered to celebrate and contribute to a meaningful cause.

The concert successfully raised funds for Ratanak International, supporting its ongoing work in vulnerable-population protection, humanitarian relief, and community restoration.

As guests entered the venue, the backdrop area quickly became the most popular spot for photos. Many attendees and Rotarians captured memorable moments that symbolized the collective spirit of giving.

The concert was presented by the Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra (RDYO). Young musicians delivered a thoughtful and expressive performance of classical and contemporary pieces. From solos to full ensembles, the music resonated beautifully throughout the church, offering an experience both powerful and heartfelt.

As the program continued, community leaders and elected officials took the stage to speak. They recognized the significant role the Rotary Club of Vancouver Centennial plays in local and international service projects and expressed appreciation for everyone’s contributions.

The Interact Club also played an important role. Their enthusiasm and energy contributed to event setup, ushering, guest registration, and donation support.

A key highlight of the evening was the presentation of appreciation certificates to long-time community partners and supporters. These acknowledgements expressed heartfelt gratitude for their ongoing contributions. The moment of certificate presentation symbolized the deep sense of collaboration within the community.

Behind the scenes, the technical team and Rotarians worked closely together, adjusting lighting, sound, and stage elements in real time. Their coordination and professionalism were essential to the concert’s smooth execution.

The charity marketplace near the entrance and back of the hall also drew significant participation. Community members donated items for sale, and guests contributed generously. These warm interactions added another layer of connection beyond the music itself.

As the concert concluded with enthusiastic applause, the funds raised will support Ratanak International’s programs in vulnerable-population assistance, community safety education, survivor rehabilitation, and emergency humanitarian efforts. The Rotary Club of Vancouver Centennial extends its sincere gratitude to all sponsors, community partners, Interact members, musicians, volunteers, and donors.

More than just a musical performance, the concert was a celebration of community spirit and collective goodwill. The Rotary Club of Vancouver Centennial will continue to uphold the principle of “Service Above Self,” advancing meaningful initiatives across local and international communities.
